CONCORD - New Hampshire unveiled a new computer system knows as the nhworks Job Match System. This system will forever change how New Hampshire searches for employment, fills job openings, obtains training information and accesses economic and labor market information. The nhworks Job Match System is also designed to be comfortable for everyone, even the person who has very little computer experience. It is Internet driven allowing users to access from the convenience of their home, office, or their local nhworks OneStop Center.

The nhworks Job Match System replaced the previous system managed by NH Employment Security on March 30th. "The nhworks Job Match System offers the job seeker and employer valuable resources that were not available to them before, such as the virtual recruiter, job spidering and the resume writer. This is One Stop Shopping for job seekers and employers." said Acting Commissioner Darrell Gates. The new system also interface with the new Unemployment Insurance System, scheduled to go live in July 2009, by automatically generating a work registration for customers that file an unemployment compensation claim.

Job Seekers can conduct a job search using Internet spider technology to view jobs posted by employers in the new system and match skills to positions posted on national job boards and private industry web sites. The system features a resume and letter builder to generate a new resume to be sent to employers. Customers can research and compare training opportunities and explore the regional labor market for information such as the average weekly earnings for a position or the fastest growing occupations.

Employers can use the Virtual OneStop to create a company profile, place job orders, and search applicants according to skills or occupation title by keyword search. After generating candidate matches, employers can review resumes stored in the system and create files to help manage the hiring process. The system can automatically generate a candidate search at certain time intervals using the Virtual Recruiter and employers can receive notices of matches, communications from job seekers, and/or referrals from the OneStop staff through the online Message Center or via email.

The nhworks Job Match System has several additional features to assist OneStop staff in providing personal and customized services which include an Individual Development Plan for individuals and an Individual Service Strategy for employers. In addition, it will also generate reports and performance tracking required by the federal government.
